I luckily happened to stumble upon this very rare acoustic version of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros‘ song ‘Wash Out In The Rain’ tonight… The track beautifully captures both the vocals and the instrumentation in a very hypnopompic, almost ethereal, manner. I’m feverishly in love with it!

Gotta give a big thanks to RAC for introducing me to New York City’s sultry astro soul duo Lion Babe, whose debut single ‘Treat Me Like Fire’ has been playing on repeat since the second I hit play. I am positively in love with their production and vocals and cannot to hear more from the two!

I know it’s only mid-January but I’d be a total liar if I said that Seattle based Pickwick’s debut album ‘Can’t Talk Medicine’ isn’t sitting atop my list of most anticipated albums for 2013. The band announced yesterday that they would be releasing the 13 track album on March 12th, and likewise dropped a 3 song cover EP; that includes this scrumptious rendition of Richard Swift’s ‘Lady Luck’, which will also appear on Can’t Talk Medicine.
